Course Description
Support the Diversity program embraced by your organization or learn the principles needed to develop a program.
This workshop provides students with an opportunity to take a Diversity Self-Inventory to discover their level of diversity awareness. Through participation in group activities, exercises and simulation students practice the vital diversity skills needed to lead by example.
Learning Objectives
As a result of successful completion of this one-day workshop participants are expected to:
- Develop awareness of the issue of diversity at work, its meaning, dimensions, implications, and applications.
- Develop an appreciation and acceptance of the practical aspects of diversity and its benefits to them personally.
- Understand the business case for diversity at work and the impact of diversity on the organization as a whole.
- Develop practical skills for working effectively at all levels with people who are different.
- Help create a culture that values differences and inclusion in the workplace.

Facilitator
Jennifer Conaway draws on her 10 years of corporate experience in the fast-paced high tech environment to address and provide real world issues and examples. Her combination of lecture and experiential learning keep the learner engaged and their skills growing throughout the class. She has a keen understanding of the necessity to take skills from a workshop situation immediately and successfully into the work environment.
Jennifer has earned a Project Management Professional (PMP #184543), is a CTACC (Certified Coach Training Alliance Coach), ChangeWorks! Practitioner and HumaNext Certified Facilitator.
