Gain a Remarkable Understanding of Yourself and Others

Course Description

Do you ever feel misunderstood by others, or at times feel perplexed understanding them? Many of our relationship challenges are simply a lack of knowing how the marked differences between personality types impact our interactions. Likewise, our own life is much more rewarding when our personal choices come from an understanding of what drives our own unique personality type.

This dynamic, interactive workshop is based on three key personality frameworks; Interaction Styles™, Temperament and Cognitive Processes. Using a process of self-discovery as well as self-assessments, participants will determine which of the 16 psychological types their natural type is. The workshop uses group activities, exercises, discussion, reading and self-reflection to provide a variety of ways to discover ones own personality and understand others. Participants will leave the workshop with a concrete plan to apply their learning’s.

Facilitator

Susan Gerke has been in business since 1998 following 21 years working for IBM where she was a manager as well as a technical support representative and a management development professional. Susan's focus since 1989 has been in designing, customizing and implementing leadership and teamwork programs meeting the needs of executives, managers, and employees in a wide number of companies and industries. A recognized expert on remote leadership and teaming, Susan is the co-author of The I in Team …Accelerating Performance of Remote and Co-Located Teams and Quick Guide to Interaction Styles and Working Remotely. She is also the co-author of Quick Guide to Interaction Styles and Time Dynamics

Susan has a B.S. degree in Statistics from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo. She is a graduate of University Associates Human Resources and Organizational Development Intern program. Susan is certified to deliver the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator® instrument as well as the Interstrength method.
