Course Description

A key role for managers and supervisors is coaching the people they lead to enhance their contribution to the team and the organization. Understanding the values that drive teamwork behavior and using effective strategies to lead individuals to work with others are critical skills for leaders today.

This Coaching Excellence workshop uses the SYMLOG instrument that measures values for teamwork. Analysis of their individual data will provide participants clarity on their coaching style and well as strategies for working with each individual on their team. Experiential activities, journaling, sharing of data, and coaching by the facilitator all contribute to an overall growth experience which leads to effective action planning.

Learning Objectives

As a result of successful completion of this one-day workshop participants are expected to:

• Understand their motivation for leadership and teamwork
• Recognize the teamwork values of the individuals they lead
• Use teamwork values as a framework for coaching people to be more effective employees
• Implement their action plan to improve their effectiveness as a coach
