Course Content

Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) and Management Information Base (MIB) Operations (SNMPO) is a 90-minute instructor-led training session - conducted via Cisco WebEx, designed to introduce you to the basic concepts of the SNMP protocol and the SNMP MIB architecture. The session will teach you all of the fundamental concepts and components of SNMP. This training session covers topics such as the functionality of SNMP, the SMI MIB architecture, and basic operations of SNMP.

Course Objectives

At the conclusion of this course, participants will be able to understand the following:

• SNMP Structure
• SNMP Versions
• SNMP Message Types
• MIB Structure
• Some of the more common MIBs, including MIB, MIB2, RMON, and RMON2
• Understand the Common Object Groups and Object Identifiers (OIDs)
