Course Overview

ANI offers a two-day lab-intensive webinar to provide Cisco's Partners with a deeper dive for the deployment and configuration of Cisco's UC520. In this workshop, participants will go beyond the "Graphic User Interface" configuration and explore the product capabilities from a "Command Line Interface" scripting perspective to achieve quick, easy and efficient methods to configure UC520 products. It will provide Partners with the "tricks" and "tips" needed in the real world of IT and a detailed guide to assist in successful deployment and configuration the Cisco UC520 under unique customer and/or technical requirements. The workshop format is two hours of lecture and six hours of proctored labs each day (Note: if desired, on-site instructor-led delivery can also be arranged).

Workshop Objective

At the conclusion of this workshop, participants will be able to deploy and configure all of the main features of the UC520 product. Participants will leave the workshop with practical documentation to assist them with future deployments and configurations.

Topics Include

  • Initial Network Configuration using scripts (IP address change from default, connectivity to using SIP trunks, T1 or E1, DID ground start lines, FXO & FXS lines, DID mapping)
  • Integration with ASA
  • VPN tunnels between UC520 and ASA, Mesh configurations
  • Redundancy, 911
  • Single number reach (Cell Phone switches over to local network)
  • Fax server integration with Cisco UC520
  • Guest Net wireless access account set-up
  • Coordinated Dialing Plan
  • Validate VPN tunnel functionality and tests
  • Phone configurations, Auto Attendant, message/recording management, RSVP, Company logo branding, Message Waiting Indicator, Paging, Intercom, Speed dial, Meet me, Fast Dials
  • Voice Mail - voice mail system operation including Microsoft Outlook integration
  • Adds, Moves, and Changes
  • iPhone integrations (configuring system from iPhone)
  • Setting up UC520 with Microsoft Office Communicator over SIP trunks
  • IP communicator use for mobile workers and home workers
  • DNS, Secure data transfer for customers
  • Working with SIP vendors

What Attendees Need

Online attendees are required to have a computer with high-speed Internet connection, Microsoft Internet Explorer, and access to a telephone.

Prerequisites

Participants should come with a working knowledge of Cisco IOS command line interface (CLI). Knowledge of legacy telephony interfaces (FXS, FXO, DID, PRI) is important.
